I’ve been a lotion gal my whole life, until 2 years ago. I discovered face oil to hydrate and nourish my aging skin and that quickly turned into a body oil obsession.
I used Neutrogena body oil over the years, but never felt passionate about it. When I discovered a high end safe Beautycounter body oil I was hooked. Problem was, the oil was expensive $78, it came in a heavy glass bottle (think shattered glass and oil in a wet shower, naked) and because they don’t use fragrances, it’s lemon scented. I detest smelling like food. That goes for creme brûlée, peach, ginger and almond anything for the body or hair.
I started exploring and discovered jojoba oil by NOW Solutions. I love the non-greasy feeling, the long lasting moisture and the price. I keep it in the shower and apply it to my still wet skin before towel drying. Pretty much scent free. $25 for 16oz. Buy Here
Then I found another oil, that I like a little more. I wanted something with a lite scent and I found it, in the grocery store of all places. Next to Head and Shoulders. Not really, but you get the point.
Bio-Oil. You’ve probably seen it, but may not have ever tried it. I love this product and will use it all of my days. It has a very gentle rose scent, the most delicate I’ve ever found! It’s light and fresh …. I could soak in it. It’s not so strong that someone knows your coming, but hours later if you smell your arm, it’s right there.
It’s got this secret sauce they call PurCellin which sounds like a great cat name, and it’s got a TM. Evidently this makes the botanicals, vitamins and other ingredients behave better together and does wonderful stuff for you skin like help with scaring and uneven skin tone and hydration. The ingredient list has loads of good stuff, a mouthful of strange words like “eugenol” that we’ll call Egno because it sounds less harmful. If you’re an organic militant, you’re going to want to explore the ingredient page. That said, the product meets the European standards that blow the US regulations out of the water. It’s about $15 for 4oz, a bit more expensive than Mrs. Jojoba above, but it’s also packing more punch!
For me, I acknowledge that my weekly tequila consumption is harming me more than Engo and her evil stepsister Linalool. That’s really one of the ingredients. My advice is to try it, I’m pretty sure your gonna like it, a lot. Buy Here.
Enjoy your super soft, wonderful smelling self all day!
