About Mrs. Honey

Mrs. Honey is a middle aged woman, mother, wife, friend, sister, daughter, writer, producer, step-mom and she can be very funny at times.  Now is probably a good time to stop referring to myself in 3rd person, I think I might have just shown the first signs of becoming my Dad.

I started this blog as a passion project and as a way to share my thoughts, experiences and favorite things with more than my basket of friends.  Friends that have encouraged me to write for years and appreciate my enthusiastic sharing of favorite things I’ve discovered.  This is really a more formalized way doing what I’ve always done.

I was single for a long time, married in my mid 30’s and had two children around 40. I enjoyed a career that gave me wings and empowered me in ways I have never imagined.  Back when I was a little girl, not much was expected of me other than going to college and ‘doing something’ until I got married.  It didn’t quite work out that way for me, so I did what any girl would do, I worked.  Success in business lit a fire in me that was hard to tame.  It was intoxicating and heartbreaking all at the same time.  It  forced me to grow up quickly, allowed me to be the person I am today. I wouldn’t change a thing. Well, one thing.  I wish I had my children younger so that I could have more days walking on earth with them.
